Registered Nurse
Position: WIC Health Professional/Public Health RN/BSN (40 Hours
Per Week)
Pay Grade: Registered Nurse
Salary: Commensurate with education/experience
$22.81/hour – $29.00/hour
Shift Times: 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday
8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Tuesday – Friday
Will require some evening and weekend on-call rotation
Essential Functions of the Position:
Clinic work will include phlebotomy services; administering pediatric and adult vaccinations; providing direct patient care in well child, women’s health, and general clinic setting; presenting public health education in the community. WIC responsibilities include assessing nutritional status, nutrition and breastfeeding support, counseling, education, and prescribing food packages.
Must have knowledge of nursing techniques and methodologies; human relations, counseling; interviewing and education; public relations; community health problems; community resources; pediatric immunizations.
Applicant must possess good clinical, communication, and computer skills. Minimum qualifications require a valid Ohio driver’s license; have a vehicle for required travel and proof of current vehicular liability coverage. Education requires a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing with a valid Ohio Registered Nurse License. Two (2) years of nursing experience is preferred.
